The Mural Club was started with the intent to spruce up the gym. Students were asked to submit designs of what made them proud to be at McPherson Middle School. Their designs were combined into one large design.
On Wednesdays after school, students met to paint the designs drawn on the wall to complete the mural.

Coding and programming are skills that are needed now and even more so in the future, so MMS Computer Science Club was started to fill a need for students who wanted to explore more about Computer Science. The club is open to all students in grades 6-8. CS Club currently meets for an hour after school two days a week from the beginning of December through the end of May. Through CS Club, students get a chance to use their imaginations and show off their creativity as well as collaborate as they build, create, and explore with robots, coding, and programming. Besides building and programming these robotic devices, students also participate in basic block programming using multiple websites designed for beginners and more advanced students.

The Bullpup Writing Club gets together about once a month to eat snacks and write about whatever the students want to write about! It is very low key but has been enjoyed by a small handful of students who needed that extra time to spend on something they love. Some students are even coming to brainstorm ideas and making plans to create a school newspaper.
