Allan Gadsden Jr.
Hello, my name is Allan Gradsden Jr. and I graduated in 1990. After graduating MCHS I went to college for higher education. I currently live in Albany NY area. I currently work as a educator.
My favorite memory, from my time in MCHS is playing on the basketball team. The most fun times came during the season. Trains, buses with teammates and we played all over NYC.
Advice I can give to my fellow MCHS students is that Stay positive and stay connected to good people. You never know where you’ll wind up in life. Connection to others who are big thinkers is a good way to be successful with anything in life. NYC will always be apart of you wherever you go and live. Take all the lessons. We are NYers and MCHS is a proud place to graduate from!
My achievements after graduating MCHS is that I go to College and I am a pro basketball player, college grad w/a Masters Degree in Athletic Administration, fitness professional, business owner(home based) so many others to list.
MCHS is dedicated to key strategic pillars for student success:

Cultivating Responsible Citizens: Through a commitment to social-emotional learning (SEL) and community engagement, we instill in our students a strong sense of responsibility, empathy, and a desire to contribute positively to their communities and the world.
Ensuring Unmatched Head Starts: Our Early College program, coupled with the individualized support of our Teacher Counselor model, provides our students with an unparalleled advantage, preparing them to enter four-year universities as sophomores or juniors, or even with an Associate Degree, giving them a significant head start on their chosen career paths.
Fostering Initiative and Self-Efficacy: We empower students to take ownership of their learning and personal growth, encouraging independent thinking, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to their academic and career trajectories.
