Meet the Staff

My name is Grace Nelson, and I absolutely love working on the Spartan Spotlight. I'm the editor-in-chief and manage the website and social media. I joined the newspaper because there are so many issues I'm passionate about, and I want to share my thoughts. I love writing, and spend most of my time doing it outside of class. When I'm not doing extra-curriculars or writing, you can probably find me hanging out with my puppy, Franklin.

Hi! My name is Christy, and I joined the newspaper in my sophomore year. I write a variety of articles. Outside of school, I dance and play the violin. My favorite book is Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys. I love to indulge in cookies and cream ice cream.

My name is Drew Matheson, and I am the business editor and an author of the Spartan Spotlight. I got interested in the newspaper because I really like writing about controversial issues and seeing how people respond to them. I am also involved in a lot of music in and out of MHS.

Hey, I'm Megan Gates, and I'm the editorial editor for the Spartan Spotlight. I joined the Spartan Spotlight because I really enjoy writing, and I wanted some more opportunities to write outside of classes. I also enjoy playing sports and hanging out with my friends!
