Semester IV is composed of the following courses:
NRSAD 113 Complex Health Alterations II
NRSAD 114 Nursing Management Concepts
NRSAD 115 Advanced Clinical Practice
NRSAD 116 Clinical Transition
NRSAD 113 and NRSAD 114 are offered at both the Milwaukee (downtown) Campus or Mequon Campus. NRSAD 115-116 is at a clinical site. ⬇️ Scroll down to see locations of clinical sites ⬇️
(Note: you will be signing up for both NRSAD 115 and NRSAD 116 at the same time; both courses are at the same site all semester).
NOTE: NOT IMPERATIVE, BUT WE RECOMMEND SIGNING UP FOR NRSAD 115 SECTION 201 IF YOU PLAN TO APPLY FOR A N116 PRECEPTORSHIP
Additional information and reminders:
Direct communication by students with clinical/field placement facilities to inquire regarding clinical/field placement is not allowed.
All students, please be aware of the following:
Once final grades are posted for the current semester, MATC reserves the right to move any student from one section to another based on section enrollment.
No special requests for clinical sites or campus location will be accepted.
There will be space available in all courses for students in good standing to continue in the program but you must register by the deadline.
All records contained in Castle Branch (DISA) must remain current throughout the semester. Therefore, take the time prior to the start of the semester to plan for/update any requirements due to expire. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that CastleBranch requirements remain current and submitted by stated deadlines.
When a student enrolled in a clinical course does not fulfill CastleBranch requirements that fall due during the semester, the student will be notified one time via email by the clinical coordinator as a courtesy. The clinical instructor will be included in the email. For every day of nonfulfillment, the student will not be permitted at the clinical site, counting as an absence. The student will receive a “7” for SLO1 on their clinical evaluation tool (note: Two “7’s” result in course failure - see clinical attendance policy).
All nursing courses utilize Blackboard. Please check your Blackboard course regularly for updates and announcements.
