Course Description - Photo 1
Digital Photography 1 is a cell phone based photography course that covers basic photography and design principles including composition, space, and light. Use of DSLR cameras, tripods, lights, and additional equipment are not mandatory, however cameras and equipment are available for students who are interested in perusing photography beyond cell phones. Basic digital editing of images will be taught with the use of industry standard software: Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom Classic.
Course Description - Photo 2
Building on the foundational skills from Digital Photography 1, this course takes students deeper into the art and technical aspects of photography. Students will move from phone cameras to manual mode on digital cameras, learning to control exposure, lighting, lenses, and advanced editing techniques. We will explore different genres of photography, from portrait to landscape, as students develop a personal style and create a professional portfolio showcasing their best work.
