Kindergarten students will learn the basics of the library media center and how to use it. They will learn different types of stories, fiction, and nonfiction. By the end of the year, the expectations will be that they know all parts of the book, which books are for pleasure and which are for information. Literature studies focus on award-winning picture books, folktales (Fables and Creation Stories) as well as notable authors and illustrators.
