Young Creatives aims to provide outstanding dance provision to our local community. Aimed at children aged 4-11 the classes will explore contemporary dance technique whilst developing the dancer's creativity taught by subject specialist. The Academy has recently been awarded a National Area of Excellence in the Visual and Performing Arts which we are extremely proud of. This award demonstrates the high quality teaching, facilities and performance experiences which our Young Creatives classes will experience. All participants will have the opportunity to be involved in the Dance department's annual dance show and also the school musical.

The classes currently on offer are detailed below and we will be looking to expand the provision with more classes throughout the Performing Arts in the future. These classes will run in term time only.

4:00pm-4:30pm YC1 Junior Contemporary - Children aged 4-6.

Working to develop the foundation skills for contemporary dance and exploring creative tasks in a fun, energetic environment.

4:00pm-4:45pm YC2 Contemporary Street - Children aged 7-11.

A diverse fusion of two dance styles where dancers will work to develop their dance technique through the two popular dance styles.
