Required Modules for Student Teaching

VDOE Module Requirements for Licensure

Before beginning student teaching, all required Virginia Department of Education modules must be completed. 

• The MyMBU School of Education webpage has the modules available in the second column under VA Licensure Resources. 

• Once finished, please email the documentation of completion certificates to MBU’s Licensure Specialist, Lori Johnson.

Required Modules

• • Child Abuse Recognition

  • Dyslexia Training

  • Ethics & Professional Standards Exam

  • Seclusion and Restraint in Public Schools

  • Cultural Competency

  • First Aid CPR

  • Civics Module - only for Elementary Endorsements and Middle/High School History and Social Science Endorsements

  • Two Sped Mini Modules - may have been completed during ED 112 or ED 510
