Before starting to work with the product, it is essential to conduct a mandatory integration test to ensure that the integration is set up correctly.
For each advertiser, an unlimited number of products can be created. Subsequently, these products can be added to the API offer for traffic distribution among them according to specified rules.
The features of a product in the Marksel system are as follows:
Products can be added to the API offer. Working with products is generally possible only through this type of offer.
Adding a product to the system requires technical integration with the advertiser.
Adding a product
Go to the Roles section, select the Advertisers tab.
Click on the arrow next to the Advertiser ID
You will see a list of already created products. To create a new product, click on the Add Product button.
A product management form will open.
Product management form
The information entered into the form is displayed in the product list but does not directly affect the product's operation within the offer. This data is primarily for the information of system managers and can be modified when the product is connected to an offer.
To add a product, please fill in the following fields:
Product Name - Enter the product's name.
Integration type - Select the type of integration. You can only choose from the types supported by the system. If a different type is required, please contact support to have it created.
Payment type - Choose the payment type:
CPA - The advertiser pays a fixed cost per conversion, and the affiliate receives a fixed payout for each conversion.
RevShare - The advertiser pays a variable cost per conversion (e.g., a percentage of the sale), and the affiliate receives a percentage of the advertiser’s payout for each conversion.
Mixed - A combined model that blends CPA and RevShare elements. The advertiser may pay a fixed amount for certain types of conversions (CPA) while paying a percentage of revenue for others (RevShare).
Geos - Specify the countries where the product is relevant.
Verticals - Select the verticals to which the product belongs.
Integration - Specify the name of the integration with the advertiser that will be used to exchange data for this product. You can only select from integrations that were previously set for the advertiser. If the integration for this advertiser/product has not been implemented yet, contact support to create it.
Advertiser - Select the advertiser for whom you are creating the product. By default, this field is pre-filled with the advertiser data for which you clicked the Add Product button.
Status - Specify the current status of the product:
Active - The product is active and can receive traffic.
Stopped - The product is inactive. No traffic will be directed to it, and it cannot be selected when creating an offer. If traffic is already being sent to the product from previously created offers, that traffic will be redirected to a fallback destination.
Deleted - The product is no longer available in the system. It cannot be selected for offers, and any existing traffic will no longer be directed to it.
Product config - Fill in this field with the current configuration. A configuration is a set of data used in integration with the advertiser, defining where and what conversion data should be sent.
When creating the first product for an advertiser, please contact technical support to obtain the configuration. For subsequent products of the same advertiser, you need to:
Copy the existing configuration from another product of the same advertiser.
Paste it into the Product Config field for the new product.
Make the necessary adjustments to the configuration. These changes may include product ID, the URL for data submission, etc. These details must be provided by the advertiser for each new product.
Once all the fields are completed, click Apply. The product will be created and will appear in the list of the advertiser's products on the current page.
