Master the Spanish Vocabulary
Here are top strategies to boost your Spanish vocabulary:
Contextual Learning: Instead of flashcards with single words, learn words within sentences or phrases. This helps you understand how words are used in real life.
Active Usage & Daily Habit: Dedicate 10 minutes a day to learning new words. Actively use new vocabulary in conversation or by writing a daily journal.
Immersive Media:
Watch Spanish TV shows or movies on platforms like Netflix, listen to music, and read articles or short stories, using Spanish subtitles.
Spaced Repetition Systems (SRS): Use flashcard apps such as Anki or Quizlet for digital flashcards that use algorithms to test you on words just before you forget them.
Focus on High-Frequency Vocabulary: Prioritize learning the most commonly used words (100–300 words) to quickly handle everyday conversations, following the Pareto Principle (80/20 rule).
Flashcard Techniques: Use physical or digital flashcards with Spanish on one side and English on the other. Test yourself by looking at the English first to recall the Spanish.
Keep a Journal: Write down new words, phrases, and their contexts in a notebook. Review this journal regularly, notes a video from YouTube.
Identify Everyday Objects: Label objects in your home with their Spanish names, or focus on learning words for things you see in your surroundings
