Year 4   Learning Update

Central idea: Suitability to settle may be determined by people's knowledge of the Earth's geological features.

Over the last couple of weeks, we have delved into our second line of inquiry, looking into the economic geography of the UK. Within this, we have explored:

• different industries in the UK and how they impact our economy.

• trade (both import and export) and how this is helped with our ports - we even had a go at trading.

• location of settlements and how this supports our economy e.g. tourism at the coast.

We brought these together with our endpoint where many of us created models of settlements.
