Central idea: Exploring identity can develop a sense of belonging.
It has been a busy and exciting start to the term! We have had lots of fun and the children have demonstrated what fantastic learners they all are. We began our inquiry by building our very own robots, inspired by our key text. The children have then begun looking at the word identity and what this means. They have created their own fact files and we have just started experimenting in the style of Monica Lee a realist artist who specialises in portraits.
In maths we have been looking at writing numbers in different forms, specifically words. We have also spent lots of time on flexible partitioning with numbers to 100.
In English, the children have been writing character descriptions, writing in different roles and we are moving onto sequencing a story in preparation for their own narrative. They have loved delving into our core text 'Croc and Bird'.
