Year 1     Learning Update

Central idea: Human relationships can create a sense of belonging. 

It has been a busy few weeks in Year 1. We have had a wonderful time settling in more into Year 1 and have delved deeper into our inquiry based learning. The children have become more familiar with the daily routine and have enjoyed exploring their new classrooms. Yesterday was a huge surprise for the children when we noticed the character Beegu from our key text had 'crash landed' on our jungle gym! The children were fantastic investigators and came up with many theories as to who could be visiting before we read our book. 

In maths we have been exploring one less and one more. Next week we will have fun comparing numbers. 

There have been many jumpers and water bottles without names on them left behind in the classrooms please ensure that all of your child's belongings are labelled in order for us to return it to your child if it has been misplaced.
