Central idea: Our lifestyle is influenced by our choices.

In maths this week we have been getting to grips with using mental methods to add and subtract ones and tens.  The children have been learning to count over the tens and hundreds values using a number line and Base 10 to support accuracy.  In writing we have loved reading 'The Lion Inside' as a stimulus for our discussion and writing this term.  The children have created some beautiful narratives based on the characters within the story. For inquiry, children have used their art skills of printing and tonal shading to create a wonderful self portrait inspired by our artist Julian Opie which expresses their emotions; the results are stunning!
