Central idea: Expression can be influenced by our values

The children have worked so hard this week to learn how to use exchange in written column methods for addition and now subtraction.  They have been working through each step with great thought and focus, applying their mental arithmetic knowledge and using Base 10 to show the exchange - we are so proud!

We have begun to explore what values are in our inquiry learning, locating countries in Europe and researching how their values are different (or similar) to our own British values.  We have also begun learning about the Suffragettes in reading and writing by planning our own historical narrative and engaging in our class story of 'Secret Suffragette'.

We have been expressing ourselves in dance, showing the characters of Matilda, Mr Wormwood and Miss Honey.  The music has been inspirational and children have shown such flair and imagination in their movements.
