It is important for our students to know what they are supposed to be learning, not just receive a list of things to do. Being clear about our expectations with students has the potential to accelerate student learning. Some questions we can use to frame our thinking from the students' perspective around clarity are:
What am I learning today?
Why am I learning it?
How will I know that I learned it?
