Designs Collaborative Spaces

Provides flexible spaces that promote inquiry, creativity, collaboration, and community.

Current & Prior Practices

  • At the secondary level, designed spaces to meet the needs of diverse learners (green screen room, quiet study room, VR room, seating options for individual or group work).

  • At the secondary level, libraries are accessible for students and staff all day.

  • At the elementary level, maker space activities and spaces are provided and supported in each library.

  • Displays routinely rotated to promote curiosity, diversity, and to highlight new topics.

  • All libraries are available for district use using facility request forms.



Possible Areas for Growth

  • Increase space options for collaboration, quiet reading and creativity.

  • Add flexible seating/variety of seating at all levels.

  • Increase library usage outside of scheduled library times.

  • At the elementary level, make libraries accessible for students and staff all day.
