Leads professional learning to cultivate broader understanding of the skills that comprise success in a digital age (e.g., critical thinking, information literacy, digital citizenship, technology).


Current & Prior Practices

  • Collaborate with district and building administrators to facilitate professional development (PD) opportunities.

  • Create monthly newsletters sharing district technology updates, valuable resources, and helpful tutorials.

  • Library Technology Specialists participate in professional development opportunities including: CESA 9 monthly networking meetings, WEMTA, Slate and Google conferences, etc.

  • Meet individually with teachers to promote new resources and technology integration into classrooms to enhance student learning outcomes.

  • Curate both print and digital professional development resources for teachers to promote increase usage.




Possible Areas for Growth

  • Create or purchase a digital resource for housing up-to-date PD resources.

  • Utilize expertise within our organization to create an EdCamp.

  • Provide ongoing professional development for support staff.

  • Incorporate a tab on the district website for sharing virtual resources and tutorials for teachers.
