Year 7 Physical Education is an opportunity for students to get active!
Building on the foundations of Fundamental Movement Skills achieved in the Primary Years, students begin to develop specific and also transferable technical skills across a variety of sports.
Students participate in a range of team and individual sports encouraging opportunities to develop team work and resilience as well as their leadership skills.
The Physical Education program at the secondary level promotes interpersonal skills such as communication, problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration whilst working on metacognitive skills such as planning for, monitoring and evaluating their own learning.

Striking Sports
Invasion Sports
Dance
Inclusive Sports
Racquet Sports
Volleyball
Year 7 Physical Education is timetabled for two hours per week which is heavily practical based with theory elements to support practical concepts. This includes the development of literacy and vocabulary specific to the technical skills for Physical Education.
The Year 7 Physical Education program will require some work at home on Mini Tasks directly related to concepts taught in the unit of work. Homework tasks are short and require knowledge built upon from the practical lessons in the format of assigned Kahoot quizzes, literacy and vocabulary activities and short self-reflection activities.
