Wednesday 19 August ( previously Wednesday 5 August) – Government primary schools notify Year 6 families of their child’s Year 7 placement offer ( placement letter to be sent via email / post/ fax/ other means)
From Thursday 20 August – Secondary schools may distribute enrolment, orientation, and other transition information to parents/carers of future Year 7 students.
Monday 31 August - Closing date for parents/carers to lodge a written placement appeal with their preferred secondary school.
Friday 11 September - Secondary schools provide parents/carers with written notification of appeal outcome.
Friday 13th September - Information on where to access information sessions and the transition website will be communicated to families
Friday 25 September - Closing date for parents/carers to lodge a written placement appeal with relevant Regional Director (RD).
Friday 30 October - Regions notify parents/carers of outcome of RD appeal.
Tuesday 8 December – Statewide Orientation Day - Postponed to January 29th 2021
On this day students are required to wear their full school uniform of their current primary school. Snacks, a water bottle and BBQ lunch will be provided including vegetarian and Halal options. Students with other special dietary requirements should bring their own food.
At the January 2021 transition day your child will be provided with a tote bag that will contain a range of information that you can read at your own leisure.
