This half term we have been learning about 'States of Matter'. This week we melted three types of chocolates: white, milk and dark. We were looking to see what type of chocolate melts the quickest. We set up our investigation with a boiling hot water poured into a plastic container. We then added an aluminum tin foil container on top to act as a conductor in which we placed the three different chocolate pieces.
Our results
We noticed that the white chocolate was the quickest to melt and dark chocolate took the longest to melt. From this we understood that chocolate with more cocoa takes longer to melt.
