Te Ao Māori 

Te Reo me ngā tikanga are embedded through out the day as an integral part of the curriculum here in Pukeko class. Tamariki experience a wide range of opportunities to experience te reo and tikanga in authentic and meaningful ways. We start each day with Taumata where we are growing our confidence with the school Karakia, Tauparapara, Whakatauki, Vision, Values and Waiata.

This term as a school we are exploring the concept of navigation

“He waka eke noa.”
We are all in this canoe together.

This whakataukī connects strongly with: waka traditions, being part of this community,
shared journies and  our school leadership value of 'Ngā Rangatira mō Āpōpō'.
