Maths

Maths in Pukeko class is about exploring number concepts in hands on ways.  We work with a wide range of resources and materials to build our foundational mathematics knowledge.  

In term one our key focus areas are:-

• Number Knowledge: Counting, recognising numbers, simple addition/subtraction facts (e.g., to 20), fractions.

• Problem Solving: Making and breaking sets

• Early Concepts: Sorting, patterning, shapes, and measurement through play and exploration.
