Kia ora, I’m Mr Minnaar. 

I teach Year 9 and Year 10 Social Sciences, Year 10 Mathematics, and History for NCEA Levels 1–3 at Westland High School. I am a structured and supportive teacher who is firm but fair, and I have high expectations because I want every student to succeed. My classes focus on student learning, participation, and building confidence. Our learning site will redirect students to Hāpara, where we will complete most of our classwork, activities, and learning tasks. Students should stay organised, keep up with tasks, meet deadlines, and take part respectfully in all learning activities. Outside of school, I enjoy fishing and playing golf, and I really value the lifestyle and community here on the West Coast.
