In Year 10 Social Sciences during 2026, we will explore topics that help students understand people, places, and how societies work, with a strong focus on New Zealand and the world around us. Students will learn about identity, culture, how environments shape communities, and how people make decisions that affect society and the future. We will use a mix of class discussions, activities, research, and digital learning through Hāpara to support learning. In class, students are expected to be respectful, stay on task, follow instructions, meet deadlines, and contribute positively to the learning environment. My goal is to create a supportive classroom where students feel confident to learn, ask questions, and do their best.
