I have been the in-school COL teacher for Panmure Bridge School since 2017, and in 2018 received a Manaiakalani Professional Learning Fellowship. Last year I completed the Digital Fluency Intensive which set me up with the skills needed to update my Google Educator certification and my classroom program.

Venessa Davan

I have been teaching at Paparore School since 2010 and have been the driving force towards upgrading the infrastructure and the implementation of digital technologies. I've stepped into the roll as a facilitator in 2018 for a term, and have since continued to work part time for Manaiakalani as a co-coach at DFI (Digital Fluency Intensive). I have been running online and face-to-face toolkits, PLD sessions, orientation days and Manaiakalani staff meetings.

I am currently one of the Lead Teachers for our Te Hiku cluster, and also an in-school CoL teacher for Te Hiku Kahui Ako. I completed the Digital Intensive Fluency in 2018 and gained Level 1 as a Google Educator - this was valuable learning both personally and professionally.

This year I am extremely fortunate to be a Manaiakalani Innovative Teacher, along with nine others from around Aotearoa. I have a particular interest in UDL (Universal Design for Learning) and using digital technologies so students are not limited but that they can be successful in their learning. My passion in teaching is success for all learners and no one gets left behind!
