Zoom
UMPI uses Zoom, a web conferencing system that allows students, faculty, and other guests to meet synchronously over the internet. Zoom allows for the entire class to communicate in live time via audio, video and text; it also allows people to share their computer screen with the class. Students may also use Zoom to attend faculty office hours, engage in remote tutoring options, and collaborate in group projects from afar.
Zoom sessions may also be recorded for on demand viewing, but be sure to obtain permission from your instructor before recording a class.
