Course Description
This course is a continuation of CHY 113, providing the second semester of the typical full year general chemistry sequence. Major topics covered include: Kinetics, Equilibrium, Thermodynamics, Electrochemistry, and Nuclear Chemistry This course and CHY 116 (normally taken concurrently) provide the basis for further study of chemistry.
Prerequisite: Grade of C or higher in CHY 113
Course Goals
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
Interpret properties and behaviors of materials in terms of atomic and molecular interactions
Be more confident in your ability to set up and solve problems
Make decisions based on sound scientific reasoning and principles
Expand your own self knowledge about how you learn
