Discovery Nest at the SCC Library
The NPC Library had a very successful round of Discovery Nest activities over the summer. On Monday, June 3, families visited the Silver Creek Campus Library in Snowflake to create an explosion card with an embossed paper strip design on the front. On Monday, June 10, participants made transforming banner cards, which unfold into a vertical banner for the recipient to display. Then on Monday, June 17, kids enjoyed choosing from a flag, a cake, a butterfly or a boot shape to create their own shape book. The first ever Adult/Teen Discovery Nest was held on Monday, July 29, where participants made pop-up gift bag cards.

If you're a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, Fiber Folke invites you to explore the rich textures and vibrant possibilities of fiber arts together.
Like to share books you read or discover new ones? Join the fun! Participants meet online to discuss whatever they are currently reading or just to get suggestions from what others are reading. From young adult literature to abstract academic works, we discuss both and everything in between. Join us monthly on the second Wednesday at 2:00 pm. Our next meeting is September 11, 2024.
Discovery Nest offers fun and creative projects for children ages 5-12 held several times a year at the Silver Creek Campus Library in Snowflake. The next activity will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024. We will be making freestanding spinner cards.
