National Reading Month is celebrated in March primarily due to Dr. Seuss' birthday, which falls on March 2. That day is often marked as "Read Across America Day" although the event has since expanded to become a week-long celebration for many schools. This year it will be celebrated on Friday, March 7, with a theme of "Create & Celebrate a Nation of Diverse Readers." Join the nationwide celebration online with some of these suggested hashtags:

Discovery Nest offers fun and creative projects for all ages five and up. Activities are held several times each year at the Silver Creek Campus in Snowflake. The next round of activities will be in June.
