I teach Credit and Non-Credit ESL Synchronous and Asynchronous Online classes.
Fall 2025: I will be teaching ESL 75 online, designing and teaching 2 sections of ESL 69 atOcean campus, as well as ESL NC 3-4 at Ocean.
Spring 2025: I taught ESL 75 online, ESL NC 3-4 online, & ESL 5-6 at downtown campus.
Fall 2024: I taught the revised 16-week synchronous online Credit ESL 75 and 79 classes, as well as Levels 1-2 and 5-6 at downtown campus.
Spring 2024: I taught ESL 75 online as well as ESL NC Levels 3-4 at downtown campus.
In Fall 2023 I launched the new 18-week synchronous online Non-Credit ESLN Level 6 class.
I served as Distance Education Co-Coordinator for the college from 2022 to 2024. Here is my DE Blog, with resources realted to online teaching and learning.
I have curated a Design Studio page with online resources and a Generative AI Guide, with interviews, webinars, workshops, and articles related to generative AI, as it relates to community college education.
In Spring 2023 I taught the synchronous online ESL 75 A, B, & C grammar and editing classes. More about ESL 75A Spring 2023 as well as my ESL 79 synchronous online class . I also taught a fully online Non-Credit ESL Level 6 class.
I have provided academic English support in CLAD and have served as Technology Faculty Advisor at the John Adams campus.

I have been teaching at CCSF since 1999. I love this college and I love teaching English to students from around the world.

In May 2021 I was awarded a doctorate in Educational Leadership with a focus on Equity and Social Justice.
I was a 2022-2023 EPIC Fellow at Stanford University.
2021 - 2024: I was interviewed for the Continuous Learning Institute Podcast Interview to discuss equitble teaching practices and DIESOL podcast on Humanizing Online Education. In addition, I was featured on DIESOL's Episode 100: Top Tips from Teachers Around the World.
2024: I regularly attend educational conferenes for my own professional development. In March 2024 I participated in the SxSwEDU Conference in Austin and learned so much!
This is not an easy time to be a student. The long-term impact of immigration raids, racial injustice, and global wars affects all of our lives. This makes it difficult to learn, manage our time, and juggle our many responsibilities.
