High School Physics is an introductory physics course. Content is taught at a conceptual level using basic arithmetic and simple algebra. Topics include: forces, motion, energy, momentum, work, power, fluids, simple machines, heat, sound, and light.
Details are available on the Course Outline of Record. The course is part of the CCSF Transitional Studies Department high school diploma program. It also can be taken as preparation for standardized tests such as the High School Equivalency Test.
This version of the course is hybrid, taught with traditional face-to-face class meetings accompanied by asynchronous online elements in the CCSF Canvas learning management system.
