Course Information

High School Ecology is an introductory course in ecological concepts, including: structure and function of the biosphere, biomes, biotic and abiotic factors in an ecosystem, biochemical and nutrient cycles, interaction among species, changes in populations, and current conservation in society.

Details are available on the Course Outline of Record. The course is part of the CCSF Transitional Studies Department high school diploma program. It also can be taken as preparation for standardized tests such as the High School Equivalency Test.

This version of the course is a traditional face-to-face course with tech enhancements in the CCSF Canvas learning management system.

All of the materials for the course will be available through Canvas or supplied in the classroom.
