Surveying the MYIS Community

What does the MYIS community know about Soi Dogs?

Many people in the Magic Years community know that Soi dogs don’t have a home or a shelter they can use. They also know that soi dogs live in the street because they have seen Soi Dogs or have some experience helping soi dogs or other experiences. Many people in the MYIS community said Soi Dogs don’t have an owner and soi dogs don’t have someone that takes care of them.

How does the MYIS community feel about Soi Dogs?

We went around school and asked teachers and upper primary students how they felt about Soi Dogs. We got a lot of good information that we will use in our Exhibition. One of the things we noticed was that almost all of the Thai staff said that they felt scared of Soi Dogs and most of the non Thai members said they were not scared.

Does the MYIS community think Soi Dogs are a problem? Why/why not?

Most of the people in the MYIS community think it's a problem because the dogs are sick and diseased or they may have puppies, and that they dont have enough care. Very few of them think that Soi Dogs aren't a problem because theyre just lonely and people are the problem. The MYIS community have interesting and good ideas about Soi Dogs.

Does the MYIS community think Soi Dogs are getting enough care?

Most people said they didn't think the Soi Dogs were getting enough care. Almost nobody said that they were healthy. This might be because people mostly see that the dogs are injured.

How does the MYIS community think we can help the Soi Dogs?

Many people said that we can do a fundraiser and donate to organizations that help Soi Dogs. They also said that we can give them food, water and attention. One more thing was someone said that they should educate the community about Soi Dogs. These are all great ideas, especially the one about educating the community.

Does the MYIS community think the Soi Dogs look healthy?

An equal number of people said that they looked pretty ok or that they didn’t really look so well. No one said that they looked very healthy and only three people said that they didn’t look well at all. This is both good and bad, I’m glad that almost none are very unhealthy. But none look health which is very sad

Soi Dog Foundation

The Soi Dog Foundation has a channel in Youtube, and we three (Aschwin, Emerson, Wilbur) has subscribed to support the channel, to keep up the good work. Here is one of the videos:

A Story

This dog's name is Cola and the dog was attacked by a person with a sword. Luckily, Cola escaped but the front legs were cut off. The Soi Dog foundation found and gave the dog some prothetic legs and now the dog is living a good and happy life.

Soi dog foundation

Every day, Soi Dog Foundation is called to rescue dogs and cats who were abandoned by their owners and they could get a sickness or an injury. Soi Dog Foundation helps those dogs and gives them a better home and they need you to supot them because of the things they do.
