GoGuardian is a computer monitoring and filtering system that helps to keep students safe and on task.
School and tech administrators are notified if students access explicit/dangerous content.
Teachers can view all students' screens in their classrooms, redirect when needed, and chat with students in order to assist and answer questions.
To help ensure the safety of our students while online.
To help students stay focused and on track with lessons.
To allow students to ask questions and get help during remote lessons.
Regularly used in all classes to monitor students' use and ensure safety.
Teachers turn on GoGuardian during remote teaching to provide assistance and answer questions using the chat feature.
Reports are sent to school administration so that they may address safety concerns.
Specific websites, including gaming or inappropriate sites, can be blocked on an individual basis.
As a student, GoGuardian will automatically start monitoring your Chromebook whenever your teacher starts a session.
If your teacher turns on the chat feature, a chat button will appear in the lower left corner of your screen.
Choose the teacher you would like to chat with, and send a message.
You can now receive notifications when any student in any of your classes chats with you.
To enable this feature, enable chat as you normally would (1), then click the triple-dot icon (2), and enable Desktop Notifications (3).
