SBOR Lessons - Student Identity Documents - Graduate Profile
In 2017, Madera Unified embarked on a campaign to redefine what education could look like in Madera. Since then, the We Believe campaign has continued to grow. In 2019, the Community Compact and Student Champion documents defined what it means to be a servant leader for the community of Madera. Finally, in the 2020-2021 school year, a group of Madera Unified students from 6th to 12th grade formed a committee to establish the Student Bill of Rights and a companion document known as the Student Believer.
These documents tell us what rights every Madera Unified student is entitled to and define their associated responsibilities.

Graduate Profile
The Graduate Profile is a framework that outlines six skill areas that are important for everyone to master for success in school, career, and life. For our schools, the Graduate Profile provides a focus for teaching and learning. For students, it serves as a challenging set of elements to demonstrate by the time they graduate.
For seniors, starting with the class of 2025, the portfolio and oral defense are a requirement for graduation. (Board Policy 6146.1)
