Holi is the Hindu festival signifying the passage from Winter to Spring. It is celebrated on the last full moon in the lunar month of Phalguna in the Hindu Calendar. There are two legends associated with the Holi Festival. The first tells the story of Prahlad, a prince who, with the help of Vishnu, overcame the Demon King Hiranyakashipu and his sister Holika. The second is the love story of Krishna and Radha.

Cesar Chavez Day - March 31 Lesson
Cesar Chavez was born into a Mexican-American family of migrant farm laborers. Chávez dedicated his life's work to improving conditions for the legions of farmworkers who kept fresh food on the tables across America, while they often went hungry, living and laboring in abysmal conditions and being paid unlivable wages. With the help of Dolores Huerta and others in the farmworker labor movement, he founded the National Farm Workers Association (NFWA). Later, the NFWA joined with Larry Itliong's Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee (AWOC) to form the United Farm Workers Labor Union (UFW).
