Cinco De Mayo - May 5th (Lessons To Come)
Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the Mexican army's 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. It is not Mexico's Independence Day, which is celebrated on September 16th. While a relatively minor holiday in Mexico, it has become a larger commemoration of Mexican culture and heritage in the United States.Â
