The Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific is now authorized by the Commission on Higher Education to offer a new maritime program, Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering and Electrotechnology or BSMEE.
BSMEE is a double program that addresses the educational and training requirements set forth in STCW Regulations III/1 Certification of Officers in Charge of Engineering Watch (OICEW) and III/6 Certification of Electro-technical Officers (ETO) and combines the competence standards as per Table 1-III/1 and A-III/6.
Graduate of the program is qualified for dual certification as OICEW and as ETO aboard ship.
Master of Science in Marine Transportation (Marine Superintendent)
Master of Science in Marine Engineering (Technical Superintendent)
A distinct program designed to new competencies of BSME, BSEE and BSECE programs with that of the BSMarE program—in accordance with CMO No. 35, series of 2015 in line with CMO No. 67—thus, a program that is transitional on purpose, one which retrofits land-based engineering programs to one of a program fit for sea-based application.

The Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering is a higher education degree program that deals with the study of marine propulsion system, its operation and maintenance as well as controlling the operation of the ship and care for persons on board at the operational level of marine engineering.
