GPA of not lower than 1.2 or equivalent
No grade below than 1.6 or equivalent in any course
MAGNA CUM LAUDE
GPA of not lower than 1.4 or equivalent
No grade below than 1.7 or equivalent in any course
CUM LAUDE
GPA of not lower than 1.6 or equivalent
No grade below than 2.0 or equivalent in any course
Further, additional requirements to qualify to Latin Awards starting Class 2022 and onwards are as follows:
Completed the program and candidate for graduation within the 5th year of residency or shorter.
Was not guilty of class 1 offense or suspended for any other reason.
Did not accumulate 150 demerits for any given year of residency.
Did not received any negative feedback that may brought dishonor to MAAP especially from shipping company sponsor.
For Latin Awardee candidates, must pass a comprehensive examination or validation of assessment of competence (by the institution) on the first try.
NOTE: Students who are vying for Latin Honors must submit a formal letter addressed to the Registrar Ms. Jo Ann I. Manuel, MA Ed. in pdf format with your signature and state the purpose of your request. Send the request letter at registrar@maap.edu.ph with the Subject: VYING FOR LATIN HONORS - (YOUR NAME).
