Hello Class, We will continue to work on our graffiti fences this week. Most likely, we will finish by Friday, but we can also take a few extra days to complete them. We will use paint pens to draw and color in our names, starting with the back layer and working our way to the top. Once you have finished your name, you will create the base for your project. There is no homework this week, so enjoy!
Hello Class, We are going to begin our graffiti fences this week! First, make sure that you have brought your class materials, and that you have a locker. Next, turn in your parent signatures from the syllabus. Finally, we will watch a video about how to draw your names using graffiti fonts and a layout. You will draw your name using three different fonts, then choose your favorite to replicate that on a fence template. Your practice drawing is due this Thursday. We will then discuss how to assemble and paint your fences. There is no homework this week, so enjoy!
Hello Class, Thank you for a great first week of school! We are going to go over more procedures for the art room this week, clean up people, and we will assign lockers and portfolio spaces. Then, we will begin our first project, which is a graffiti name fence. We will learn how to draw graffiti style lettering, and we will learn about the British street artist Banksy. We will then design our fences using graffiti lettering and a unique background. Your practice drawing is due this Friday. There is no homework this week. Homework will begin next week.
