Hello Class, We will be learning about the element of value this week and how to shade in shapes to make forms. We will do some practice drawing, and then create a self portrait based on the work of artist Chuck Close. Your drawing will be due next week. There is no homework this week due to the Jewish holidays, so enjoy!
Hello Class, I hope you are enjoying creating your tessellations. We will work on them all week and, hopefully, turn them in on Friday for 100 points. You will trace your patterns carefully on the grid and then create two different characters for your patterns. Color in each matching character the same. Your homework is to do the Shape Search activity, which is due on Friday for ten points.
Hello Class, We are going to be working on our Op Art this week. It is due this Thursday for 50 points. We are then going to start a pattern project, or tessellation, and learn about the art of MC Escher. This week's homework is to draw five descriptive words in color. It is due on Friday for ten points.
Hello Class, I am so pleased with how things are going this semester! You are working hard and doing beautiful artwork. We will finish our portfolios on Tuesday, and then we will learn about the element of line. Our next project is a line optical illusion in the style of artist Bridget Riley. Your homework is to do the Imagination Worksheet, which is due on Friday. It should be colored in. If you finish early, you can do the Early Finisher assignments for extra credit listed on your Google Classroom.
