Discovery Art Rotation

Hello Class, We are going to be working on our portfolios this week. Make sure that you draw your name using graffiti letters and coming out of some type of wall or other entity. Use cool colors and drop shadows, if you choose. Your name is due next Monday, March 2nd, for 50 points. Upload a photo of your portfolio onto Google Classroom when you are finished. There is no homework this week, so enjoy!

Hello Class, This is the last week of rotation! I hope that you've enjoyed the class. We will finish the dragon eyes and turn them in by Wednesday. Then, we will choose one piece for the art show during Open House and write an artist statement. There is no homework, so enjoy!

Hello Class, I hope you are enjoying drawing your self portrait. We will continue this project until Tuesday, when it is due. Next, we will learn about the element of texture, and we will create a dragon eye using pastels. The dragon eye will be due next week before the end of rotation. Your homework is to do the texture handout as a drawing. It is due on Friday for ten points.

Hello Class, We are going to learn about the element of value this week. Value means how light or dark something is. We can show value with shading. We are going to learn how to make a value scale and shade basic shapes this week, and then we will will draw our self portrait. Your homework is to draw and shade a mug by following the video. It is due on Friday.

Later this week, we will use our knowledge of shading to begin a self portrait using the grid method. The self portrait will be due next week. The homework for this week is to practice your shading and draw a mug. It is due on Friday for ten points.

Hello Class, we are going to learn about the element of texture this week. We will then be making our dragon eye drawings using oil pastels. This week's homework is to draw a "texture hand." The homework is posted in Google Classroom and is worth ten points. If you have a homework pass and have not used it, now is the time, as next Wednesday is our last week of class. All missing work must be made up before Tuesday, October 14th.
