Harvest of the Month

This program showcases fruits and vegetables grown in Louisiana.  Throughout the year we will promote locally grown items with taste tests, activities, read-alouds, and/or videos relating to the items.  Families will be given fliers containing cooking tips, helpful hints, fun facts, and recipes.

August - Watermelon (all grades)

September - Cucumbers (second grade) 

October  - Eggplant (third grade)

November-Broccoli (first grade)

December - Sweet Potato (all grades)

January - Root Crops (kindergarten)

February -  Rice (fifth grade) 

March- Strawberries (all grades)

April -None

May - Tomatoes (4th grade)
