Fourth Grade

Garden Ambassadors - The Garden Ambassadors are the leaders of the L. Leo garden program.  They meet with master gardeners and teachers to learn garden lessons and they reteach the lessons to other students.  L. Leo's 2023-2024 Garden Ambassadors are Cooper Barnes, Madelyn Bordelon, Zayn Carpenter, Adleigh Domingue, Londyn Dugas, Gage Duplechien, Harley Fabre, Jayden Folse, Karson Hackworth, Elizabeth Harris, Luke Harris, Brantley Hebert, Rayna Jones, Samuel Melancon, and Evan Menard. 

LSU AgCenter/Master Gardener School Garden Initiative – L. Leo Judice fourth grade classes partner with the LSU AgCenter 4-H Youth Development Program and the Master Gardener Program to make subject matter come alive through school gardens.  The program builds stewardship among students and provides opportunities to make meaningful connections between curriculum and gardening.  The program also promotes healthy eating habits and teaches basic culinary skills for preparation of produce from the gardens.  

Learn, Grow, Eat & GO! curriculum - Fourth grade students will complete this curriculum in science lab this school year in connection with the LSU AgCenter/Master Gardener School Garden Initiative.
