Mission to Mars

THE PROBLEM

We are sending a rover to Mars! We need to develop a rocket that can “escape” Earth’s gravity long enough to hypothetically go into space and bring a rover to Mars. However, these Rovers are EXPENSIVE. In the case of a hard landing, we want to protect the Rover to reduce damage.  


THE TASK

Build a rocket using 2 liter water bottles propelled by air pressure (water rocket) that carries a  raw egg over 100 feet vertically then protects the raw egg from breaking on impact back on the ground.
