Music Opportunities Beyond LHS
There is no shortage of ways to be involved in music beyond Longmeadow High School. From opportunities in our area to groups across Massachusetts and beyond.
Opportunities During the Year:
Students from across Western Massachusetts audition each fall to form a collective ensemble from schools around Western Massachusetts.
Students who receive an All-State recommendation (top half of the Western Massachusetts Festival) will be allowed to audition for the Massachusetts All-State Band / Orchestra in January of each school year.
Students who were accepted into Massachusetts All-State may apply for this biennial festival of students made up of 11 states from the US eastern seaboard.
Students who were part of Massachusetts All-State may audition for the All-National Ensembles made up of students from around the United States.
There are youth ensembles at the University of Hartford from bands and orchestra to instrument specific ensembles.
A comprehensive youth orchestra program from students all around New England.
One of our region’s finest youth music schools. Everything from lessons, chamber ensembles, youth wind ensembles and youth orchestras.
This youth wind ensemble is made up of the finest high school aged students in Massachusetts and beyond. They rehearse in Boston at New England Conservatory.
