Course Description:

Students will explore the written and aural language of music through sight singing, ear training, analysis and composition. The first half of the year will focus on fundamentals of music notation and composition, the second half will use those skills in analysis and composition projects. You will learn to recognize, understand, and describe the basic materials and processes of music. You’ll develop skills by listening to, reading, writing, and performing a wide variety of music.
