Preschool Intervention and Referral

Preschool Intervention & Referral Team

Who are we?

The Preschool Intervention and Referral Team (PIRT) works with parents, teachers, and children to ensure a happy and successful school experience.  The team is comprised of four members with extensive backgrounds in early childhood education.  Our function is to provide assistance to classroom teachers and the many children we serve by offering supports that allow children to be successful within their classroom environments.  Requests for Assistance may be due to social, emotional, behavioral, academic or communication reasons and may come from the parent and/or the classroom teacher.

Collaboration:

The Preschool Intervention and Referral Team sees the family as an integral part of the team.  We are available to all parents and highly encourage you to stop by our office or reach us by telephone with any questions or concerns that you might have regarding your child.  We are available to provide resources, information on specific behavior & communication concerns as well as assist you & your child with confidential support with issues such as divorce, separation, grief, and anxiety.
