Welcome to the Joseph M. Ferraina ECLC Guidance Site!
Here you will find information about our school's news, events and other useful information and resources in regards to guidance, Preschool and Kindergarten Intervention and Referral Team services, and Social-Emotional learning and development.
What do we do?
School counselors work with school staff, parents, and the community to help students have a more positive and successful school experience. We work with ALL students to help develop the self-awareness, social skills, and coping strategies to effectively navigate through their early childhood school years and beyond. This is accomplished through:
Individual counseling
Small group counseling
Classroom guidance lessons
School-wide events and activities focused on character building
Consultation and collaboration with staff, students, and families to develop academic interventions and supports
Crisis intervention and response
Providing information and resources to parents and families
