Student Medical File
Our health department at LOINS has been working diligently to conduct vision screenings and check the weight and height of students. This effort is part of our initiative to complete each student's medical file.
Following the assessments, parents were provided with recommendations and tips in a comprehensive student medical assessment report to support your child's health and well-being.
A great shout-out goes to our nurses for their ongoing efforts to support a healthy environment for our students.
Field Trips
It is that exciting time of the year when we commence the planning of our school excursions that promise to be exciting opportunities to our students. For every grade level, we will be offering two excursions, one academic and the other fun-filled.
As always, we will ensure the dates and locations are communicated with our community once details are confirmed. Please make sure to follow your departments instruction to ensure a safe trip for our students.
First Sustainability Initiative:Encourage the Use of Refillable Water Bottles
To promote sustainability and health among our community on campus, we encourage our students and staff to use refillable water bottles as a positive initiative to reduce the plastic waste and helps protect our planet.
To support this initiative and ensure effective implementation, we have installed refill water dispenser to also encourage our students and staff to stay hydrated.
Important Reminder: Playground Safety During Dismissal
We would like to remind you about the importance of playground safety during dismissal time. For the safety of all children, we kindly ask that parents do not allow their children to use the playground facility without supervision after school.Unsupervised play can lead to accidents and potential liability issues.

يعمل قسم الصحة في مدارس واحة العلم العالمية بجد ،لإجراء فحوصات الرؤية ،وقياس وزن وطول الطلاب، تأتي هذه الجهود كجزء من مبادرتنا لاستكمال الملف الطبي لكل طالب.
بعد إجراء التقييمات، تم تزويد أولياء الأمور بتقرير شامل يتضمن توصيات ونصائح لتقييم الحالة الطبية للطلاب ودعم صحتهم وسلامتهم .
نتقدم بالشكر الجزيل لممرضاتنا ،على جهودهن المستمرة في دعم بيئة صحية لطلابنا.

إنها الفترة الرائعة من السنة ،و التي نبدأ فيها في التخطيط لرحلاتنا المدرسية، التي تعتبر فرصًا شيقة لطلابنا، حيث سننظم لكل مستوى دراسي رحلتين، واحدة أكاديمية والأخرى مليئة بالمرح.

نود تذكيركم بأهمية المحافظة على السلامة في الملعب خلال وقت الانصراف.و من أجل سلامة جميع الطلاب، يرجى من أولياء الأمور الكرام ،عدم السماح لأبنائهم استخدام مرافق الملعب دون إشراف بعد انتهاء الدوام المدرسي، حيث أن اللعب دون إشراف يمكن أن يؤدي إلى حوادث ومشاكل قانونية محتملة .
Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) اللجنة الاستشارية لأولياء الأمور
We’re excited to announce that our Parent Advisory Committee had its inaugural meeting on October 21, 2024!
Starting with five dedicated mothers of children enrolled at LOINS across various grade levels, our introductory session marked a solid beginning for this important initiative.

We are pleased to announce that Ms. Farah Aldelaigan has been selected as the chairperson of the parent advisory committee. Ms. Farah brings a great passion for advocacy and we are confident that her leadership will guide the committee toward meaningful impact.
The goal of PAC is to ensure effective communication with parents and school administration, participate in supporting the educational and managerial staff, and guarantee the upkeep of school facilities.
In the coming weeks, the committee will focus on assigning roles and responsibilities, defining its mission and vision, and identifying key goals for community engagement and student support. We look forward to sharing our progress and collaborating together as we work towards enhancing our school community!
To further support our Parent Advisory Committee, we will dedicate this fixed section in each newsletter for them. This space will be used to share important updates and developments with our community. We believe this will help keep everyone informed and engaged as we work together to support our students and school.

Tea Time with Moms جلسة الشاي مع الأمهات
We are excited to announce that we initiated our friendly tea time gatherings with our mothers that will be held every Wednesdays as part of our efforts to discuss important topics that impact the experience of our community at LOINS. Our October gatherings discussed the following topics:
First gathering: How to Support Our Students Learning at Home.
Second gathering: Raising Emotionally Strong Kids: Building Social Skills, Empathy, and Self-Control.
Third gathering: How much is too much?
Sharing valuable insights and exchanging thoughts about these topic were truly delightful.
We thank our mothers and staff who made these gatherings fruitful and enjoyable.

يسعدنا الإعلان عن بدء لقاءاتنا الودية لجلسات الشاي مع الأمهات ، والتي ستُعقد كل يوم أربعاء كجزء من جهودنا الهادفة لمناقشة المواضيع المهمة ، التي تؤثر على تجربة مجتمعنا في مدارس واحة العلم العالمية .

Parent Teacher Conferences اجتماعات أولياء الأمور والمعلمات
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents who took the time to attend our first parent's meeting. We are blessed with our staff's evident efforts in supporting our parents and students alike in their educational journey at LOINS.
This parents meeting was not only an opportunity to share academic and non- academic feedback, but it was also indeed a wonderful way to connect with our families and lay concrete building blocks for our students' success.
Together we are shaping a brighter future!
يسرنا أن نتقدم بخالص الشكر و الامتنان لجميع أولياء الأمور الذين خصصوا مساحة من وقتهم لحضور اجتماع أولياء الأمور الأول . نحن موفقون بوجود فريق عمل ملتزم يدعم بكل إخلاص أولياء الأمور و الطلاب على حد سواء في رحلتهم التعليمية في مدارس واحة العلم العالمية . لم يكن هذا الاجتماع مجرد فرصة لمشاركة الملاحظات الأكاديمية وغير الأكاديمية، بل كان أيضًا وسيلة رائعة للتواصل مع العائلات وبناء أسس قوية لنجاح طلابنا.

Space Week أسبوع الفضاء
Space week was a truly inspiring experience for our students! Excitement filled their faces as they explored the wonders of space and the planets. Throughout the week, our students engaged in a variety of activities that sparked their curiosity.
Not only were our hallways decorated in a space-theme , but our staff also integrated space topics into classroom materials in thoughtful and creative ways. This approach allowed students to connect their learning with real-world concepts, deepening their understanding of the universe.
On Sunday, October 13, students arrived brimming with enthusiasm, ready to showcase their space projects. Each student presented their work to the class, which not only highlighted their creativity but also helped them develop valuable presentation skills.
We would also like to thank our families for their efforts in supporting our scholars in submitting such great projects.
كان أسبوع الفضاء تجربة ملهمة حقًا لطلابنا! كان الحماس و التشويق واضح على وجوههم أثناء استكشافهم عجائب الفضاء والكواكب ،وعلى مدار الأسبوع، شارك طلابنا في مجموعة متنوعة من الأنشطة التي أثارت فضولهم ، وحفزت خيالهم .
ولم يقتصر الأمر على الممرات المزينة بموضوع الفضاء فحسب، بل قامت معلماتنا أيضًا بدمج مواضيع الفضاء في المواد الدراسية بطريقة مدروسة وإبداعية ، ساهم هذا النهج في ربط تعلم الطلاب بمفاهيم العالم الحقيقي، مما عمق فهمهم للكون.
في يوم الأحد، 13 أكتوبر، حضر الطلاب بحماس كبير ، وهم مستعدون لعرض مشاريعهم عن الفضاء، وقام كل طالب بتقديم عمله أمام الصف، مما ساهم في إبراز إبداعهم ، وساعدهم في تطوير مهارات التقديم القيمة.

A Book About Space! !كتاب عن الفضاء
Mira Saleh Space's Booklet 10-27-2024 11.33.pdfIn the wake of our recent Space Week, one of our Grade 5A learner Mira Saleh took the initiative to create her very own storybook about space. Not only did she display her curiosity about the universe but also exemplified the IB PYP Learner Profile attributes of being an Inquirer and Creative Thinker. She engaged with new knowledge and applied her understanding in a creative way, sharing her passion for space with others. Her storybook is a reflection of her commitment to learning and her willingness to express herself. This project highlights how our learners can take inspired actions, further fostering a culture of inquiry and creativity within our school community.

Let's Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle! !لنعمل على : التقليل ، وإعادة الاستخدام، و التدوير
Celebrating this week was an integral part of our sustainability efforts, aligning perfectly with the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. By focusing on creativity and recycling, we highlighted the importance of responsible consumption and production.
Our students showcased their innovative ideas with creative outfits made from recycled materials. Each ensemble was a testament to their talent and resourcefulness, transforming everyday items into stunning fashion statements through which they emphasized on importance of incorporating sustainable practices into our daily lives.
Students took great pride in their creations, sharing with each other the inspiration behind each piece and the materials they used.
It was indeed a fantastic way for students to express themselves while promoting a meaningful message!
كان الاحتفال هذا الأسبوع جزءًا أساسيًا من جهودنا في مجال الاستدامة، وجاء متوافقا تمامًا مع أهداف رؤية 2030 للتنمية المستدامة. فمن خلال التركيز على الإبداع وإعادة التدوير، أبرزنا أهمية الاستهلاك والإنتاج المسؤولين.
قدم طلابنا أفكارهم المبتكرة ،من خلال أزياء مبدعة مصنوعة من مواد معاد تدويرها، حيث عكست كل مجموعة موهبتها وابتكارها، حيث عمل متعلمونا على تحويل المواد اليومية إلى تصميمات أزياء مذهلة، مؤكدين على أهمية تبني الممارسات المستدامة في حياتنا اليومية.
كان الطلاب فخورين للغاية بإبداعاتهم، حيث تبادلوا القصص الملهمة التي صاغوا بها كل قطعة و تحدثوا عن المواد المستخدمة .

Twin Day يوم التوأم
Twin Day at LOINS has been such a fun and memorable experience! It's was indeed a day that celebrated friendship and creativity, allowing students to express their personalities through matching outfits.
Reflecting on that day, it’s great to see how it fosters a sense of community. It encouraged students to bond over shared interests and styles.
It was a reminder of the joy that comes from collaboration and shared experiences.
كان يوم التوأم في مدارس واحة العلم العالمية ، تجربة مليئة بالمرح و الذكريات الجميلة! يومًا احتفلنا فيه بالصداقة والإبداع، أبدع فيه طلابنا في التعبير عن شخصياتهم عبر الأزياء المتطابقة. وقد عزز هذا اليوم، روح المجتمع، و شعورالانتماء ،وشجع الطلاب على التواصل من خلال الاهتمامات والأساليب المتبادلة. لقد كان تذكيرًا نابضًا بفرحة التعاون والتجارب المشتركة.
World Food Day يوم الغذاء العالمي
On World Food Day, our middle and high school scholars presented engaging experiments and presentations exploring the science of food. The event fostered curiosity and discussions about healthy eating and sustainability, showcasing our scholars knowledge and creativity.

Exploring Book-to-Movie Adaptations استكشاف كيفية تحويل الكتب إلى أفلام
Our Grade 9 learners completed a summative assessment comparing a book to its film or series adaptation. They analyzed differences in storytelling and character development, and then shared their opinions on which version they preferred.
أكملت طالباتنا في الصف التاسع تقييمًا نهائيًا ،يقارن بين كتاب معيَّن ونسخته المحولة إلى فيلم أو مسلسل . قاموا بتحليل الاختلافات في أساليب السرد وتطوير الشخصيات، ثم عبَّروا عن آرائهم حول النسخة التي يفضلونها .
Special Treat: Movie Day تعزيز خاص : يوم الفيلم
To encourage attendance and punctuality, students from Grades 6 to 11 who arrived before 7:00 AM last Thursday were rewarded with a special social event—a movie screening at the end of the day! This initiative aimed to motivate students to arrive on time and engage with their peers in a fun and relaxing environment. We believe that such incentives not only foster a positive school culture but also promote responsibility and community among our students.

Lost and Found المفقودات والموجودات
As part of our ongoing efforts to support a sustainable environment, we kindly ask you to encourage our students to check the lost and found items in each department.
As implemented last year, to reduce waste, any items remaining in the lost and found by the end of the school year will be donated or repurposed for school-related activities.
Please ensure your child's belongings are labeled for easier identification. This simple step can ensure lost items are returned promptly.
في إطار جهودنا المستمرة لتعزيز بيئة مستدامة، و تقليل الهدر ،نرجو منكم تشجيع طلابنا على مراجعة قسم المفقودات بانتظام ،كما فعلنا في العام الماضي .
علما أنه سيتم التبرع أو إعادة استخدام أي عناصر تبقى في قسم المفقودات ، بنهاية السنة الدراسية لأغراض تتعلق بالمدرسة.

A Visit to the Consultative Council زيارة مجلس الشورى
Visiting the consultative council was a fantastic experience for our grade 8 students! It provided them with valuable insights into the decision-making processes that shape their community and country. By engaging directly with the workings of government, they learned how policies are formed and the importance of civic participation.
Overall, the visit was a wonderful enrichment opportunity, fostering critical thinking and encouraging them to be active, informed citizens.
كانت زيارة مجلس الشورى تجربة رائعة لطالبات الصف الثامن! منحتهم رؤى قيمة حول عمليات اتخاذ القرار التي ثؤثر في مجتمعهم وبلدهم ، فمن خلال التفاعل المباشر مع آليات الحكومة، اكتسبت الطالبات فهمًا عميقًا ، حول كيفية تشكل السياسات وأهمية المشاركة المدنية.

He shared this experience with his teacher and classmates, showing how he connected the story to real life and engaged with his family. His response reflected his thoughtful nature and willingness to apply what he learned.

There is no doubt that positive reinforcement plays a vital role in redirecting student behaviour and encouraging a supportive learning environment. Below are some tips on how to incorporate positive reinforcement to prompt trust and open communication with students:
Recognize Achievements: Celebrate both academic and personal milestones
Use Praise Effectively: Instead of just saying "good job," highlight what exactly was done well.
House System: our staff will use the house system charts for students to earn points for positive behaviour
Encourage Peer Recognition: Create opportunities for students to recognize each other's efforts
Create a Positive Environment: foster a supportive atmosphere where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, and effort is valued.
Model Positive Behaviour: model the behaviours you want to see in your child
